If you have yet to download Nokia Feature Pack 1 to your Nokia Belle phone, we suggest doing so ASAP. Not only does it add new features, a better web browser and more widgets: it also gives your phone a speed boost from 1.0GHz to 1.3GHz.
Here we take a look at the new Nokia Belle Facebook widget that lets Nokia 603, Nokia and Nokia 701 users access individual Facebook status and notification updates in just one touch.
To add the widget to your homescreen hold down on the display and tap ‘Add widget’. Then scroll down through the list. Alphabetical listing makes it easier to find what you need. Tap on the Facebook widget to add it to your homescreen.
You’re now ready to go. The beauty of the Facebook widget is that it lets you hop straight into your private messages, events, notifications and friend requests.
A text entry field also lets you update your status and share photos in just a couple of taps of the screen. Tap the camera icon to be given the opportunity to share photos from your profile, or take a new photo to be uploaded for your friends to view.
Likewise tapping on the text entry field brings up the keypad to let your friends know what you’re up to.
Dive into the app proper by tapping the Facebook logo. Tap on the menu button at the middle-bottom of the screen for at-a-glance access to your news feed, profile, friends list, inbox, events, requests, photos and notifications just as you would on a desktop.
As you can see the Facebook widget is simple to use, letting you do what you want with your account in seconds.
